Up to that time he bad gone wiokiug aud blinking along peioefulty enough, and no clouds bad obscured bis happiness ; but a pall ia hanging over Sanders cow, and life bas no charms for him. It's all bis wife's fault, he say. She bad no business seodiog bim to a millinery store. She wanted a bow to match one on ber bat, and she started Sanders oB to procure Ue entered the store whistling, and when one of the shop-girls ap proached and said "Good morning, " he winked and replied "Good morning.' The milliner vanishes, slimming the back door belling her, and Sanders slinks into a seat ejsculatin; : "Well, I'll be doggoned !" But he bounced up quick when a gentlemen entered, and, .calling bim "an old hippopotamus," proceeded to divest himself of bis coat, and squaring oS at Sanders, crted out : "Now then, coate on!" "Why, why, bless me, what does this mean?" said Sanders. "Ofi yes, you're a nice one, you are. What kind of a p!ace do you take this for, coming around and insulting women and girls with your widks. Come on?" and ba danced around Sanders. He got one in on Sanders over the eye ; his left duke felt of Sanders's ribs, while his right rattled around all over San ders's mug, and wbea he got throngh with Saudcrs that individual was as badly demoralized as a pig in a whirl wind, and. be never found ont what it was all about uutil the milliner's hus band, who bas ascertained his habit, called on Sunday and apologized. Bad Legs, Bad Breasts, Sores ana Ulcers. Ail description of sores are remediable by the proper and diligent use of thia ines timable preparation. To attempt to cure bad legs by plastering the edges of the wound together is a lolly ; for should the skin nnile, a boggy diseased condition re mains underneath to break out with tenfold fury iu a lew days. The only rational and successf ul treatment, as indicated by nature, is to reduce the inrUuiniation in and about the wonnd and io soothe the neibbcring parts by rubbing in plenty cf thj Ointment as salt is forced into meai. This wili canse the uialienant humors to be drained off troni the hard, swollen, and discolored parts round about the wound, sore, or ulcer, and when these humors are removed, the wounds themselves will soon heal ; warm bread and water poultices api lied oer the affected purls, alter the Ointment has been well ruined in, will soot ho and soften the same and greatly assist the cure. There ia a de scription of ulcer, sore and swelling which nerd not be named here, attendant upon the lollies of yonlh, and lur which this Oint ment is urgently recommended as a Sover eign remedy. In curing such poisonous sores it never lulls to restore the system to a healthy state if tbe Pills be taken accord ing to the printed Instructions. Diphtheria, Ulcerated San Throat, and iScarlt't and other Fevers. Any of the above diseases may be cured by well rubbing the Ointment three times a day into the chest, tlirorU and neck of the patient ; it will soon penetrate and give im mediate relief. Medicine taken by the month must operate upon tne whole system ere its influence can be felt in any local part, whereas the Ointment will do its work at once. Whoever tries the unguent in the above manner for the diseases named, or any imi ar disorders sfluriing :lie chest snd throat, will tind themselves re ieved as by a ch irm. AH sntlerers from these com plaints shou!d envelope the throat at bed lime in a large bread and water poultice, alter tbe Ointment h is been Well ruobe l in ; it will greatly assist the cure ol the throat aud chest. To allay the lever ard lessen the inflammation, eight or ten Pi Is should be taken night and morning. Th? ointment will produce perspiration, the grsnd essen tial in all coses of fnvers, sore throat., or where there might be an pprrssion of the chest, either from asthma or other causes. Piles, Fistula, Strictures. The above class of complaints will be re moved by nightly fomenMng tbe parts wrth warm water, and then by most ttfjctually rubbing in the Ointment. Persons suffering OM, ,,' troni these direful complaints should not im a moment in arresting Ibeir progress. hould be understood that it is not sain cient mereiv to smear the Ointment on the atlected parts, but it mut be well rubbed in lor a considerable time two or three times a day, that it may bj taknn into tbe system, whence it will remove any hidden sore or wound as eiTectuaily as though palpable to the eye. There again bread and water poul tices, alter the rubbing in of the Oiutuient, will do great service. This is the only sure treatment for females, cases of cancer in the stomach, or where there may bo a gen eral bearing down. Indiser, tions cf lonth ; Sores and Ulcers. Blotches, as also swellings, can, withcr I.MUty, bo radically cured if the Ointment be used freely, and the Pills taken r.igbt and morning, as recommended in the print ed instructions. hen treated in any other way tiiey only dry up ia one place to break out in another; whereas this Ointment will remove the humor from the system, and leave the parient a vigorous aud healihv being. It will require time with the use of the Pills to insure a Listing cure. Dropsical Swellings, ParaljsN, and Stiff Joints. Although the above complaints differ Melv in their origin snd n.ture, vet they all require local treatment. Many of the worst cases, of such diseases, will yield in a comparatively short space of time when this Ointment is diligently rubbed into the parts affected, even alter every other means bare tail. d. In all serions maladies the Pills should be tiken according to the directions accompanying each box.
