Vote Direct for President Every citizen would like to cast his vote direct for Prcfident, as ho does fur Gover nor and other officers ; but Slavery inter feres, and rcijnires the Electoral Ticket istem, that it may Lave an unJue politi . . . cal influence. The Union Ticket presents an opportunity to vote dircct'j for cither Fremont or Fillmore, as they prefer. Thoso gentlemen would be competent to Vote as K lectors if elected, and would not vitiate the other names even if they were incompetent. fctrEach ticket must have too more that ticatty-seccH names, but may have less if desired. SicrSeC that all the names and uoue other on your Ticket, are like those under our editorial head, first page, inside,) if you wish to vote for Fremont. If you wish to vote Fillmore, erase the name of John C. Fremont, and specilic for all modifications of nervous di substitute "Millard Fillmore." Theu ifj scase- Price per box; two boxes for $5; 'vvi'"'v -v.o . and 100,000 tickets headed Fillmore, aud I the united ticket be elected, each of those candidates would receive 13 Electoral Votes aud so ou in exact proportion as one or the other has most votes on the union ticket. C.Altliough cur tate Klection has not given us all we wished, it affords the best grounds for hope. Wc have gained the Senate, and Lave S majority there; w have reduced the ma jority against us in the House from 31 to 1 or 3. The Democrats havo barely elected their State officers by a few hundred votes instead of tho S0,00U or 40,000 they ! claimed ; and they huvc got back Eome of the Congressioual Districts taken from them by the Americans by surprise in '54. The Democrats have polled nearly all their votes; they colonial thousands on the Canals, Railroads and in the Cities; they had 10,000 or 12,000 uaturalized for the occasion ; they expended more money than they can raise again ; aud they got votes for their candidates that they can not get for the last old Federalist. We shall have out thousands more of wotci in Nov.; thousands who voted against us, then, will vote for Fremont ; and our friends will work harder than they did last month. "Oar Turn next." The Cps and Doxcnt of L'feclion, have this year been almost equal to those of 1840 and 184S. On Wednesday morning after election, the Democracy wero exult ing ; but returns thro' the day seemed to render the success of the Union Ticket certain, aud our Fremont boys had a bon fire on the occasion. Thursday aud Friday the scale Wavered, uutil on Saturday the Democrats were out of tho woods, aud had a torch light celebration, as diminutive in proportion as their mnjority. " Oar turn next, boys !" 1x3" A Cnion county man, now resident in Mercer county, writes us an animated description of the Fremont meetings in Western Pennsylvania, and intimates that that section will roll up an unprecedented majority for Free Kaneas. Several other accounts of Union and Fremont meetings, in this and other coun ties, we are obliged to omit fur want of room. In Oct., IS 18, there was 2,C46 Dcm. msj. for Canal Commissioner. Sov., 1843, there was over 14,000 for the Whigs, and 24,000 against tho Demo crats. Is Oct., 185(5, there is under 8,000 Dcm. niaj. for Canal Commissioner. In Nov., 1856 How much for Col. Fremont ? V.Tue rates of discount in the Bank of Kngland have advanced 1 per cent. There are 6orious financial troubles in France. After a series of disasters in Nicaragua, len.
