The last outrage of Gov. Geary, as reported by telegraph, is in har mony with the system which he has pur sued from the beginning. IIo began by imprisoning the freo State citizen?, and bo has now one hundred and thirteen of them in the custody of his Missouri body guard. Ilis noxt proceeding was to drive out all the active public men belonging to the free State party, so as to prevent tbe possibility of its rc-org.mization. To this end, he expelled General Lane with one hundred aud fifty sellers, who had been compelled to arm theiuscivcd for protec tion against the Soulhero army of inva sion. They were hunted beyond tho bor der by United States dragoons. The next step was effectually to close up the Terri tory against all emigrants from tho free States, which was done by a cordon of Missouri rangers drawn from the south west corner of Iowa to the Arkansas line. But the last outrage is the most inso lent and atrocious than anything which had been before attempted. Gov. Geary has thrown off the mask, and is now open ly using the army of the United States to arrest, plunder aud imprison a large body of peaceful cmigrauts from tbe freo States, with their wives and childred. Wo have accounts from St. Louis aud Chicago, the centres of pro-slavery and anti-slavery opinion, and they substantially agree as to the facts ! SaUur privato information from Ilar risburg and Philadelphia, is, that we can do better in nearly every county, on Pre sident, than on the Stato Ticket. There aro a few ultra Fillmore men, and some ultra Fremont mcn,who oppose the Union Electoral Ticket, (and the Buchanan men are both secretly and openly encouragiug their ruinous course ;) but the great, hon est masses of each wing are determined to sustain it as a fair, honorable, wise, and almost certain means of carrying the State and defeatin2 Buchanan. Wo had an opportunity on Monday and Tuesday of seeing a largo Dumber of the friends of Mr. Fillmore, from various parts of the county. Without a single excep tion they wero favorable to tho Union electoral ticket recently formed ; and re ported the Fillmore men of their respective ?,lst"cts, 88 m""ouij w uvor ot uu:on. IP In this time we can hear of but two individuals professing to be Fillmore men who oppose the uuioti ticket, aud they both reside in tho city. Of course everybody understands that they arc both in reality Buchanan men. Lancaster Esaminer. VMVX COl'KTY, S.S. The Commonwealth of Pennsylva- ) L.
