Resident Assistant Mohamed Rajmohamed (12th-accounting), said freshmen have been able to attend many activities and programs including a square dance, a mini-registration, a massage program and an alcohol aware ness program Rajmohamed said the orientation pro grams work to help new students get, to know each other and the University. “The square dancing at first, everybody was just standing around and afterwards the whole quad was full,” he said. Although orientation week is hectic, resi dent assistants have fewer responsibilities and the orientation leaders are not as busy as they are during the rest of the year, he said. The interaction between upperclassmen and freshmen during summer term gives the new students an advantage over those entering in the fall, Rajmohamed said. Kirsten Forbes (lst-engineering) said en rolling for summer term was an advantage for her. Snare added that the switch to semesters next fall has not been an emphasis in the freshmen advising. The semester switch is not really affecting the freshmen at all, but will affect upperclassmen, she said. RODGER o^^! W.
