PAGE TWO University Enrolls 300 New, Transfer Students For Winter Term Here About 300 new students, in- i at a reception in the HUB ball eluding 100 freshmen and 200 room transfer students with ad vanced standing, have enrolled for the winter term. In addition, about 175 stu dents have been re-admitted to the University this term The total of 475 students is an increase of 95 over records for the winter term 1963. Final health exa chemistry test s, s, ming tests, library tours and de ferred preregistration,tests are scheduled for today. An activities information center will be open from 1:30 to 5 p.m. in the Hetzel Union main lounge to provide new students with information about extracurricular activities. The freedom to make mis !takes will not only help a stu dent gain better Insights or himself, he said, hut will also ben'fit him by preventin similar mistakes in later life. Rackley told the student they would have "rewarding years" at the University if they pursued their intellectual abili ties and delved deeply into the educational community. Success comes to students who are highly motivated and work with efficiency, he said. However, students should not overtax themselves with extr2• curricular activities to a point where their classroom activi ties suffer, he cautioned.
