The two teams took turns try ing to hand each other the win on chilly Murphy Field. State (4-1) finally accepted the victory from the hapless Quakers (2-4). It was the second straight win and the fourth loss in a row for Penn. LefthancLer Bob •Fenton was the benefactor of the Quakers' sloppy play, boosting his record to 3-0 with a two-hit performance in relief of State starter Marlin Biesecker. THE LIONS collected only four hits off the combined offerings of loser Glen Tobias (1-0 and Marvin Goldklang, but five Penn errors and five key walks helped pave the way to the win. The QUakers wasted eight hits and four Lion errors. The game was scoreless until the last half of the fourth inning wben the Lions started the gener osity by giving the Quakers a run. Penn catcher Bob Zajac led off the frame with a single, but rßie seeker retired the next two men.
