PAGE SIX Wright to Launch Religious Series Tomorrow Night The Most RevePend John J. Wright, S.T.D., Bishop of Pittsburgh, will be the first speaker of the series "Religion and the Common Good" at 8:30 p.m. tomorrow in Schwab. Bishop Wright will talk on "Religion in Mid-Twentieth Cen tury.' An academic procession at 8:15 p.m. will precede the program. Platform guests will include President Eric A. Walker; the college deans; Chaplain Luther H. Harshbarger; Directors of the Hi llel Foundation, University Christian Association and New man Club; Robert G. Bernreuter, special assistant to the president for student affairs; Howard A. Cutler, assistant to the president for academic affairs; Dean of Women Dorothy J. Lipp; and, Dean of .Wri Frank J. Sines. The Rev. Samuel N. Gibson, l director of UCA, will give the in— vocation. The benediction will be! delivered by Rabbi Norman T. Goldberg. director of the Hillel i Foundation. The Chapel Choir, directed by Mrs. Willa C. Taylor,l will' sing "Psalm 42" by Howells , and "Psalm 28" by Hovhaness. A reception in honor of the bishop will be held by the Newman Club in the Memorial Lounge of the Helen Eakin Ei senhower Chapel following the program. Bishop Wright has been the ; eighth bishop of Pittsburgh since 1959. Prior to that, he served as auxiliary Bishop of Boston and as First Bishop of the Diocese of Worchester, Mass. Following his ordination in Rome, he was a professor in the Seminary of the: Archdiocese of Boston and secre-, tarp of the Archbishop of Boston. Bishop Wright holds honorary degrees from numerous American ; and Canadian colleges and is member of the American Acad-! emy of Arts and Sciences. He is'' the author of books on papal social teaching, Catholic doctrineY and many magazine articles. Too Many Queens No queen will reign over the Junior Prom to he held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday in Hee Hall, the Junior Prom committee an nounced. "The committee felt that too many queens are chosen for various events and the contests have lost their significance," Dave Whitsett, committee mem ber, said. The theme for the prom is "Streets in Paris." Count Basic and his orchestra will provide the music, tentative plans have been made to broad cast the last hour of the prom on State College radio station WMAJ.
