The Lion links men compiled an 8-4 record this season after a poor start. Three seniors, Captain John Morton, Bob Rutherford, and Tom Balling ended their golfing careers for the Lions in Satur day’s match. Morion ran into a rough cus tomer in Cornell's Warner Berry. Berry fired a one over par 70 to cop medalist honors and defeat Morton 7 and 5. Rutherford and Balling fared better, Rutherford defeated George Bickley in a close match 1-up. Balling rallied from 4 down after the front nirfe to defeat Don Heppes on the 20th hole. Rich Gilison, the bellweather in the Lion’s streak, defeated Dave Goles 1-up in another dose match. ! Dave Miller didn't encounter much difficulty in posting a 4 and 3 victory over Ron Curry and Jack Meredith had an easy lime defeating Tom Abrams 5 and 4.
