Aaron Makes Dressen's
Prediction Look Good
NEW YORK (A 1 ) Hank Aar
on of Milwaukee is making his
manager’s prediction of an im
proved batting performance look
good. ,
Aaron, two-time National
League batting champion,
slumped to a .292 average last
season. This spring, Braves’ skip
per Charley Dressen forecast a 40-
point increase by his hard-hitting
outfielder.
And, after a slow start, Aaron
has started to find the range. In
last week’s games, he hit at a .400
pace, collecting 10 hits in 25 tries
and lifting his average 19 points
to .331. Including Sunday’s games,
Aaron was in fifth place in the
National League competition. He
won the senior circuit title in 1956
and 1959.
