AGE EIGHT Edwards, Haney in \ at Titles George Edwards and Bob Ha ney, a pair of talented freshman wrestlers, won titles in the sixth annual Plebe Wrestling Tourney at West Point, N.Y., Saturday afternoon. Edwards won his title by deci sioning Syracuse's Russ Slutsicy, 8-4, in the 147-pound division. Haney (130) defeated Army's Joe D'A)essandro, 4-0, to win his crown. Both wrestlers finished the season with 8-0 records. Two other Penn State grap plers reached the finals before los ing. Tom Balent (123) dropped a 5-2 decision to Army's Floyd Welker and Dick Walker (191) lost a 12-4 decision to Yale's Don Plimpton in the title round, Balent reached the finals by dccisioning Lehigh's John Leek 1-0 on a second period predica ment point. Walker pinned Army's Stan McWatters in 6:33. Dick Campbell, State's entry at 137; lost in the semi-finals to Cor nell's Joe DeMeo. 14-8, • DeMeo went on to win the title with a 19-3 won over Oswego State's Dave Williams.
