annual Plebe Wrestling Tourney
at West Point, N.Y., Saturday
afternoon.
Edwards won his title by deci
sioning Syracuse's Russ Slutsicy,
8-4, in the 147-pound division.
Haney (130) defeated Army's Joe
D'A)essandro, 4-0, to win his
crown. Both wrestlers finished
the season with 8-0 records.

ing. Tom Balent (123) dropped a
5-2 decision to Army's Floyd
Welker and Dick Walker (191)
lost a 12-4 decision to Yale's Don
Plimpton in the title round,
Balent reached the finals by

ment point. Walker pinned
Army's Stan McWatters in 6:33.

137; lost in the semi-finals to Cor
