PAGE EIGHT Undergrads New Punch / Ever since the college crowd began uttering such pro found statements as "Twenty-three skidoo" and "00p-boop be-doop" there has been a tendency for undergraduates. to coin their own punch lines. Over the yeari, the esoteric laugh line has' developed into the subtle quip. Gone are the -days of the crude "Let's ma triculate together, baby," or "did you hear the one about the coed who . . ." Funny men now-a-days are using the psychological ap proach. They are letting the straight man think of his own punch line. A well placed Yogi Bear laugh or an emphatic "Goll-ee" axe getting as many laughs today as Uncle Millie at his best. To bring gales of laughter from her fellow sufferers she merely looks forlornly at her hostess and says "it's about these Housing regulations .. ."
