Finally Juni Niller walked to the stage to break the tension. One excited male caused a ripple of laughter in his group as he (Continued on page eight) was "The Travels of Marco Polo." Their float was decorated with a three story pagoda of yellow, red and black napkins. For the carnival the winners utilized the pagoda and also con structed a cardboard pagoda for the front of their booth. Five Chinese "cha-cha" dancers at tracted customers to the booth which had a long waiting line most of the night. Their show consisted of songs and dances representing the various stops Polo made on his trips to the orient. Near the end of the carnival the line waiting was so long and the time remaining too short to accommodate all the people, so the group moved their show out side and performed free. 15,366 HAMBURGERS 128 1 College Ave. !redly Act.Oas from Old Main THE DAILY COLLEGIAN. PENNSYLVANIA Miss Penn State: Queen Wins Over Four (Continued from page one) would wear the blue robe and the crown only moments be fore the entourage started down the white carpet path. She said she just "jumped up and down." And, of course she was happy. For a while as she sat in the rattan chair that served as a throne it was hard to tell if the flashbulbs and other lights from the photographers were bother ing her or if she was crying. Even after she left the stage she stopped to let someone take her picture. Holding the crown to her head she commented that it wasn't shaped for her. It kept slipping down from her long brown hair. Holding the bouquet in one hand and straightening the crown with the other, Miss Mil ler was unable to carry her trophy. She asked that it be handed to one of her sorority sisters around the stage. And like any queen's wish, it was done. Judges for the finals last night were Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. An thoney, Mr. and Mrs. R. Flynn, and Mr. and Mrs. M. Bergstein. Miss Miller's maids of honor were Susan Donoghue, junior in elementary education from Yon kers, N.Y.; Dorothy Eddy, junior in elementary education from Peekskill, N.Y.; Gail Schultz. jun ior in home economics from Brad ford; and Barbara Whitman, jun ior in elementary education from Garden City, N.Y. The five finalists who had dined with judges and invited guests at dinner in the Heizel Union ballroom arrived at Rec reation Hall in sports cars. Miss Donoghue wore a white strapless, Miss Eddy a ping gown. Miss Schultz a white gown and Miss Whitman a blue gown. All of them were nervous and on one it showed more than the rest.
