Brickman, professor of mechanical engineering and chairman of the committee, said. The deadline will be 30 days before registration begins. This move, according to Brick man, is not designed to make it mere difficult for students to gain readmittance to the University, but to streamline procedural op erations for reinstatement. "As far as I can see," Brickman said, "there has been no change in "policy with regard to rein statement. It may be that the deans' offices are becoming more rigorous on whom they recom mend, but our committee is just putting into writing, procedures which have been in operation for years." Brickman said the committee hopes to have the deadline in effect with each • dean's office before the end of the present semester.
