Vince Newhouser took two firsts in the rope climb with a 4.6 at Temple and 4.5 against the Mounties. Senior John 'Hid inger had a 4.7 against the Owls, but missed the pan on both tries at Morgantown. Don Littlewood recorded a 4.9 in the West Virginia meet. A happy surprise was the per formances of sophomore tumbler Graeme Cowan. The inexper ienced Cowan has taken firsts in both meets, with scores of 245 and 253 while leading the Lions to a sweep of the event against Temple. Junior Dave Dulaney tied Co wan in the opening meet and finished six points behind the second time out. Adie Stevens earned a third against Temple (21-8) but was injured and did not make the trip to Morgan town.
