We hope the students win. The carnival will be watched to see if it is more harmful to the University in the form of bad publicity than it is helpful in the form of thousands of dollars added to the Penn State Student Scholarship fund. If its judges—the University administration and students themselves—-find it harmful. Spring Week will go. No one wants to see this happen but it is up to the participants tonight and tomorrow to see that it does not happen. Poor taste, as universally defined, will be the determining factor. Other than the inability of the coronation committee to come up with a celebrity to crown Miss Penn State (Miss Pennsylvania, who final ly substituted to crown Miss Penn State, or iginally was scheduled to be a judge), Spring Week has been a credit to its planners and the University. Wa hope the quest for tickets at the Carnival tonight and tomorrow does not undermine the good sense shown so far. We hope so for the sake of future Spring Weeks. m vena* 7 p.m*, Church; Choir Practice after Novena fl -.II7ATTA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL VJCaAiUI/ iv/ • • • Edrick Adams, Stephen Behman, Fred Frenkel, Harry . PENNSYLVANIA JACK ALBRECHT, Business Manager Consider the Student Which is more important—the health of hund reds of students or making a good impression before a major general? This is a question we asked after the Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Wing II had Leadership Labora tory yesterday afternoon in a steady spring downpour. Surely, the health of the students is move important. The reason for holding the Leadership Lab oratory, as cited by an advanced Cadet officer, was to prepare for a review by a major general Tuesday in front of Old Main. Col. Daniel F. Riva, professor of air science, said yesterday that he was unaware Leadership Laboratory was held. He went on to say the decision was left to Cadet officers. Although the Cadets were dismissed early, they still remained in the rain long enough to be exposed to possible illness. The health of the men should be the first thought of the AFROTC. However, it seems the men’s health took a back seat yesterday to a pat-on-the-back from an Air Force officer. Better judgment shoulcfbe used in the future. —Ed Dubbs • NWpOlrtl art aiiiiarib tho aaliw al Um papot. DafaM •Mtorlal* m k, thertßtet. art at Msiah 8. ISM.
