PAGE EIGHT Coeds to Sign For intranrtural Discussions Coeds interested in the annual intramural discussions for women must register for the contest by Monday night, Dorothy Osterhout, women's debate manager, has an nounced. Interested coeds may register with Ellen Ross, 110 Thompson; Ann Leh, 17 Atherton; Agnes Por ter, 321 Simmons; or Lois Hum mel, 423 McElwain. The contest, sponsored by Delta Alpha Delta, women's debate hon or society, is open to all coeds except members and former mem bers of the women's debate squad. The topic for the discussion. is "Would More Religious Education Lead to Higher Morals?" A trophy will be awarded to the winning speaker. Sororities or campus groups may sponsor more than one con testant but coeds need not be sponsored to compete. The elimination rounds will be held Tuesday and the finals Wed nesday. No advance preparation is necessary and the contest will be more like a "glorified bull ses sion," according to Miss Oster hout. Each contestant will be al lowed to speak three , times for a total of six minutes. "Oi!town" to Be Shown "Oiltown, U.5.A.," Evangelist Billy Graham's 'newest film, will be shown at 7:30 tonight in Schwab Auditorium by the Penn State Bible Fellowship. A few hours before the hole was discovered college officials had stood by as .a cornerstone for the new dorm was cemented into place. Then it was gone. Roscoe L. West, president of the college, had a suspicion. The pos sibility that students had swiped the cornerstone, said West, "had not been overlooked." He added "A thorough search along those lines is being conducted." To replace the 200-pound cor nerstone would cost $2OO. Faculty Picked To Tour State One hundred and sixty faculty members have been selected to travel throughout the State dur ing the centennial celebration to speak to civic groups and clubs, Miss Julia Brill, chairman of the speaker's bureau, has announced. Two or three persons will be sent to each county to speak on topics related to their special fields. In addition, they will give information about the University in relation to the centennial cele bration. The talks will be given be tween Feb. 22 and Dec. 31, 1955. February 22 is the actual centen nial anniversary date. It was on this date that the University was officially granted a charter. 'Library Friends' Committee Formed A friends of the library commit tee has been organized by the Penn State Alumni Club of Cen tre County to promote interest in the Pattee Library. - The Alumni Club will donate $5O to the library for the purchase of books through this ,committee. Lambda Chi Alpha and Alpha IChi Omega topped Mad Hatter points with 545, and received 145 points in the Ugly Man contest, 25 in the He-Man contest, 100 in the parade, and 2510 carnival points. Theta Kappa Phi and Theta Phi Alpha received 25 points each in the Ugly Man and He-Man con tests, 330 in the Mad Hatter's con test, 500 in the parade, and 1447 in the carnival. Two 30-inch gold-plated ,tro phies were presented to the Spring Week winners Chi Phi and Sigma Sigma Sigma, at the intermission of the Senior Ball. Three 22-inch trophies went to Chi Phi and Sig ma Sigma Sigma, Theta Kappa Phi and Theta Phi Alpha, and Alpha Gamma Rho and Delta Delta Delta for winning the three classifications of the Spring Week parade. Herbert Hollowell, sponsored by Alpha Sigma Phi and Delta Tau Delta, was awarded a 14-inch tro phy.
