Nittany-Pollock area residents are now apparently certain to receive washing and ironing equipment, according to a report pre sented to Nittany ,dorm council Monday night. Michael. Hanek told the council that plumbing• work for the washing machines will be completed in a few days in the north wing of the Pollock Union building. He, said however, that Russell E. Clark, director of housing, could give/ no definite prediction as to when the machines would be delivered because of a short age in the type of equipment the College wishes to obtain. Ironing Boards Installed Six ironing boards have al ready been obtained and have been installed in the PUB, Hanek said. He added that after the washing machines are installed, irons will be available through the Student Union clerk in the PUB The obtaining of washing ma chines has been a major project of Nittany council since early in the year. The council also heard the first reading of proposed changes in the constitution or the Associa tion of Independent Men. Changes Read The proposed changes, read by Richard Mills, secretary of AIM board of governors, must be pre sented at two consecutive meet ings of each member council, approved by three of the four councils, and approved by a two thirds vote of the AIM board of governors. The changes are aimed at cor recting certain provisions in the constitution to bring it in line with present conditions and at clarifying certain points not con tained in the original document drawn up last year.
