I AGE TWO Artists Series The Summer Artists Series, featured throughout the Main Session, has been a boon to those summer students who en joy entertainment removed from the square dance—out-door-movie run of di version. LAST WEEK'S PROGRAM of piano classics presented by Anatole Kitain was well received by a crowd whose confidence in the Series had been shaken after the near-fiasco presented the week prior. This week's program ,the Eva Jessye Choir, promises to wind up the Series with' a presentation designed to please those who appreciate top-notch choral singing. JOHN MILLER, assistant director of the summer sessions, and director of the Artists Series, has done well in providing a prOgram of entertainment that would be conspicuous in its absence at summer time Penn State. Air Service State College is again on the map. The air map, that is. All-American Airways has announced that air service will be re sumed after nearly five months discon tinuance due to objectionable airport con ditions. These conditions have recently been improved. A TIME-WORN 'JOKE of students—not considered funny by residents, inaccessi bility to State College has had a constrict ing influence •on local merchants and a hurdle for , visitors. The town is an intermediate point on , All-America's Pittsburgh-New York route and air service here is certainly desirable for both State College and Penn State. Already, dividends are in sight, for air service resumption is expected to weigh heavily in the community's favor in decid ing whether the proposed $11,000,000 Army Quartermaster Laboratory will be built in State College. Distance from the main railroad lines has been one detail working against the State College bid. , Penn State has developed a new and better mouse trap. This product from the realm •of science scorns the conventional steel spring arrangement. Instead, ultra sonic sound dealg the lethal blow. Now the College need only lean back and wait —for the world to beat a path to its door. SON Serving the BIGGEST Milk Shakes in 'town at VI C'S MILKY WAY Moo Sandwiches and Ice Cream 145 S.
