Born. Sept. 15,: 1899, in Abilene, -K'• as ; 'Dr.' Eisenhower was a city editor in, that city. He also served as an assistant professor of jour nalism ' at Kansas State, from which' he received his B.S. degree in 1924. He served in the diplo matic field as an American vice consul at Edinburgh,. Scotland. • Until named president of Kan sas State, most of his work was in the field of writing. He re ceived an. L.L.D. degree from Wichita University in 1944, and a .D.Sc. degree from the Colorado State College the following year.
