PAGE FOUR Panhellenic Council Plans Rushing Get-Together A rushing get-together between members of Panhellenic Coun cil and all girls interested in joining a sorority will be held in Ather ton Hall lounges from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Gilda Greco, rushing chairman, and Delores Jelacic, president of iSanhel, stated• yesterday. The meeting will pertain particularly to freshman women, whose first formal rushing period will be observed next semester, in accordance with the rules prescribed in the Panhellenic Guidebook Group Discussions Girls attending the get-to gether will be divided into groups where the rushing situation,, the rushing code and sororities in general will be explained by members of Panhel. Any ques tions will be answered. Immedi ately following the small group discussions Miss Ella Mae Jack son, assistant to the dean of women and advisor to Panhel, will deliver a talk concerning the tame subjects. Pro-Registration The meeting will also serve as an opportunity for all interested girls to pre-register for rushing. Payment of the $1 'rushing fee and regular registration will not be made until the date originally scheduled in the Panhellenic rushing code. Kappa Kappa Gamma Kappa Kappa Gamma enter tained the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity in the latter's chapter house Saturday, December 17, with a Christmas party, Pledges of the sorority gave an annual Christmas party for alum nae and actives in the sorority suite on Monday night before vacation. Girls selected were cnosen on the basis of scholarship, leader ship and service to the College. Minimum scholastic standard necessary to be selected was a 1.5 All-College average. Cwens originally functioned as a service honorary to recognize women who had been outstanding in their freshman year at college. The College's system of farming out freshman, however, neces sitated changes and cognizance is now given to the record of a girl's freshman year and beginning sophomore semester at the Col lege. Transfers are inelligible for tapping and those girls chosen by Cwens may not be tapped by Chimes, junior women's honorary. Girls tapped are Jeaninne Bell, Janel L. College Avenue. engagemenb Margolf—Keefer The engagement of Barbara Keefer of Littlestown and-Charles Margolf of State College, was announced over the holidays. Miss Keefer graduated from the College in February, 1949. She was advertising director of Col legian and a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Margolf is now a senior in industrial engineering. He is president of Delta Upsilon, the Glee Club and a member of Skull and Bones and the soccer team. Gladfelter=Bradshaw Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Bradshaw, Mt. Lebanon, anounced on New Year's Day the engagement of their daughter, Patricia Ann. to L. Dean Gladfelter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evan R. Gladfelter, York.
