'49 Grads Enter Cruel World With the beginning of a new year each fall, many questions are asked by upperclass students about those who have recently been graduated into the "hard, cruel world." As usual, marriage: seems to be the most popular occupation. Several graduates who were outstanding at the College last year and have been married this summer are Barbara Atkins and Jo Fox. Barbara was a member of the House of Representatives, Chimes, and Student Handbook. Joe who was , active in Chimes, Mortar Board, t Feature Editor of The Daily Col legian, and chosen as one of the students to represent the College in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Col leges, married Huston Brosious, a graduate of the College. • Pat Kinkaid plans to be max ried in October to William Echel meyer, also a graduate of the Col lege. During her four years Pat , was outstanding in Cwens, Play , ers, Mortar Board and vice-presi dent of her sorority. During her senior year she was chosen national rifle queen Graduate Work Susan Bissey is doing gradtiate work in physical education at Student Handbook. Jo, who was was mentioned in Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, was a member of Cwens, Mortar Board, Phi Beta Kappa, town senator for WSGA and a member of the cheerleading squad. Former president of WSGA, Janet Lyons, worked at Shawnee on-the-Delaware in charge of the nursery this summer.
