WSGA Tries Dorm Councils An experiment in women's stu dent government has been on trial this summer. Under the auspices of WSGA. house councils were organized fop each undergraduate living unit. The councils were composed of two senators, appointed by the regular WSGA, tw 0 checkers, a oresident and vice president elec ted by the residents, and the hos. tess of each " a.- an advisor. The councils functioned sepa rately for each dormitory. They served the dual role of an execu tive body whioh made and in terpreted existing WSGA rules, and also acted as a judiciary com mittee whioh tried offenders and prescribed penalties. On alternate (weeks the coun cils from Atherton, Grange, Mac- Allistei and W Q tts Halls, met in the dean of women’s office to dis cuss general problems and for mulate a policy. At the end of Main Session each council will hand in a re port estimating the success of this project in their particular unit.
