Lacrossemen Meet Colgate, Hobart in Weekend Matches At full strength for the first time since the Loyola game, the Penn State lacrosse team leaves this afternoon for a brace of week end encounters with Colgate and Hobart. - Victorious in their last three starts, the Lion stickmen are be ginning to round into a more po tent aggregation because of con tinued practice sessions and early season contest experience. Coach Nick Thiel is confident of a good showing against the New York teams, and has high hopes of capturing at least one of the engagements. RECENT DEFEATS Colgate, who plays host to the Lions at Hamilton at 4 o’clock to morrow afternoon, dropped its last two games, to Sampson and Hobart. Sampson, drubbed by the State lacrossemen 8-2 last week, eked out a 7-6 win over the Red Raiders. On Saturday, the Thielmen journey to Geneva for a 2:30 o’clock encounter with Hobart. One of the top lacrosse schools in the country, the Hobart squad boasts a record of five wins and two losses.
