Gettig, )3ellefonte attorney, has been en !gaged as counsel for John Ed ward Galloway who is being heldi in. the county jail for the fatal shooting of his wife last Saturday morning at State College. It is understood that the ac cused youth's father completed negotiations to retain Mr. Gettig as his only attorney yesterday. Warnock presiding, was held yesterday afternoon. •ObjeCtives of this Council, as announced by De:r.n Warnock, are the coordination of existing pro grams affecting the welfare and recreation of the student body, the initiation of new programs that may seem to be beneficial, and the employment of campus physical facilities to the fullest extent possible for student welfare and recreational use. This Council is not intended to supplant nor lessen duties and agencies working in the welfare and recreational field, Warnock said. • It is primarily a coordinating agency and its members are larg ely administrators of divisions and departments related to these fields. The Council will operate largely through committees set up for specific purposes. Within their as signments these Committees will have large freedom of action.
