Of the 4119 undergraduates re turning, 2456 are men and 1623 anti ~ voriiien students. Two hun drod and four students returning are registered in the Graduate N , Thyol; 34 as full-time special otudonts; and 20 in the transition se47lion. The break-down by schools follows: Agriculture, 527; Chem istry and Physics, 392; Education, 593; Engineering, 740; the Liberal Arls, 1517; Mineral , Industries, 1:k1; and Physical Education and Athletics, 182. 3 Visiting Professors Teach Lit Courses Three noted visiting professors will teach English literature courses at the College this sum mer, it was announced today. 'Dr. James Ernst, of Wilson College, Chicago, will teach dur ing the first six weeks of the Main Session. Dr. William C. Yriemon, of the University of Alaibama will instruct during the Post-Sessions and Twelve-Weeks .Session. Dr. Harold Wentworth, of Temple University, is present -15, teaching classes at the Inter- Serzion at Grier School. In, keeping with the 50th. anni versary celebration of the bor ough of State College, McDowell will speak on "The Town As I Have Known It." McDowell, who retired in 1942, was born in Milroy and received his bachelor of science degrees at the College in 1892. He joined the staff of the• Agricultural Ex periment Station in 1894 and ex cept for two years he spent in Ridgway, bed been associated with the College until his retire ment. Because of the Summer Ses sions registration 'Monday, the meeting will be held at 12 o'clock instead of 11:50 o'clock.
