Drummond, chairman, announced: 1. A social fraternity shall be Considered throughout this resolu tion to consist of a group of frater aity men of at least 10 members, Including pledges, living together .;n a house, the whole of which, not a unit such as an apartment, is lwned or rented by the social fraternity, and is operated by the . !ra tern ty's members. 2. Women guests are to be al lowed only on the first floor except n houses where specific exceptions. we made by the Dean of Men, the lean of Women, and in no case in the rooms of men. 3. A. living room or clubroom where women guests may be en tertained must be provided which s well lighted by three or more amps, and at lea S t —two couples nust be present. 4. No alcoholic beverages of •ny kind shall be served on frater , tity premises at any time when vomen are present. 7. Any known violation shall be reported to the ' Interfraternity Council Judicial Committee con sisting of the faculty advisor, the President, and three members of the IFC, and that group shall hold a meeting for the violating frater nity. The decision of that commit tee shall be final. 9. Proven violations of these provisions will exclude the fratef nify found guilty, by trial, froM the privileges of this code, or any of the privileges put forth and stipulated in any other code under IFC ruling. Reinstatement , can be made only by petition and accept ance by the IFC 'Judicial Commit tee after an indefinite period of time. Judicial Committee shall re fer the matter to the Senate Com.: mittec on Student Welfare with whom the ultimate decisiori of re instatement shall rest. 10. Any group of men living to gether in quarters not under the jurisdiction of IFC shall be regu lated by the Student Welfare Committee. 11. Any fraternities that enter tain women guests must keep a, guest list. This list, which shall irt, elude the name of the man, the, woman, and the date, is to be, handed in to the Dean. of Men's Office by noon the following Mon day. It is to be sealed. This list should include all women guests,. whether coeds or not. 12. Coeds must indicate on their sign -out sheet in the dormitories that they were guests at a. , frater-, nity house. If they fail. to do so; they shall be held directly respori sible. Action will be taken at the' discretion of WSGA and the office ; of the Dean of Women. 13. This code must be plaCed on the fraternity bulletin board or : some other obvious place for ref, arence at all times. 14. Dr. Wise is rabbi of the Free Synagogue, New York, president of the Jewish Institute of Religion, and president of the American and the World Jewish Congresses. Born in Budapest, Dr. Wise has been active in Jewish life in the German speaking lands of Europe. He was one of the founders of the Zionist movement, and was found er of the Zionist Organization of America in 1898. He served as ?resident of this organization from 1936 to 1938 and was its represen :alive at the Versailles Peace con .!erence. He also served as chair lan of the United Palestine Ap peal. The Rabbi has been active in •eligious, educational, and civic vork in the city of New York and hroughout the country.
