Woitten Your Place, Frosh, Is .Waiting For You Tonight, while- the Daily Col egian staff is writing stories fo you, the new freshmen, 201 stu dents are being officially gradu ated. :Instantaneously, the College is saying good-bye 'to. old students and preparing to welcome new ones. We think this 'dual activity is significant because it typifies a new • spirit at Penn State. It's the old save-face one of pre-war days, combined with a serious realization that time and energy must be conserved and utilized to the highest point of efficiency. Students, as well as soldiers, have a job to do. That job is at tending classes and studying. But College isn't all classes; we play just as hard as we work. Because this is a big college, many future freshman fear that they will be lost and lonely. It's very bigness insures against this. Regardless of your background and interests, all sorts of activities, all kinds of people, dozens of places to go, and things to do are waiting for you. Your place, freshmen, is waiting to be filled.
