Betty L. Phillips ’44 claims she suffered such a loss last week when her brain was taken from psychology laboratory in 204 Bur rows. Her plea for its return appeared in Wednesday’s Daily Collegian classified section. “Please return my brain taken from 204 Burrows. Am lost without it. Call. Betty Phillips, 327 Atherton.” Upon discovering the organ was missing, she reported to her psy chology professor, Clarence E. Car penter, who calmly said, “What a state you’re in!” A “brain-hunt” was started,'but in vain. The class of psychology majors had worked for three hours mod eling human brains in clay and after laboratory period, Miss Phil lips left hers on a -table. The brain was gone when she returned. Since continuing without the brain was useless, Miss Phillips made a deal with a class-mate who dropped the course. Until her.brain is returned, she will work with, the second hand model.
