He is an authority not only in the field of religion, but hardly less in politics and economics. His most important books, 'Moral Man and Immoral So ciety,' and 'Reflections on the End of an Era,' have had a very wide reading and great influence, not only in this country but abroad." Continuing, Dr. Van Dusen said, "Although his is a brilliant intellect, and his addresses are always•stimu lating and challenging to the most mature minds, he has kept in touch with college students throughout his career. He is, without question, one of the two or three men most sought after as a speaker to university au diences." Committee Choice Praised Congratulatory words Tor the com mittee in choosing Dr. Niebuhr to talk to students here came from Dr. George S. Counts, Director of the In ternational Institute, of Columbia University Teachers' College, in New York City, who said, "Let me con gratulate you on your selection of Dr. Reinhold Niebuhr to address your student mass meetings.
