coaches was very valuable. Both men are experienced graduate coach es and are thoroughly familiar with the method of 'State's playing. No other State men are idolized more than "Irish" and "Mother" and every man on the team was willing to work his hardest under their direction. E. G. Yeckley, 'O6, and A. A. Barr, 'O6, also figured among the coaches this season. Their exper ience was of much value, although they were able to be here only a short time. The Scrubs. "Credit to whom credit is due" is the motto we must use in giving just praise to the loyal scrubs. We cheer the varsity because they are the men who represent our college. We cheer the scrubs because they are the men who help develop ou varsity. They are the men who come out on Beaver Field and re ceive their bumps with scarcely a hope of any honor. The squad that has performed in the past season is certainly to be congratulated on the manly form displayed. They were always regular in attendance at practice and always willingly jumped into the thickest of the fray with ah the grit and perseverance shown by the varsity. In the one game in which they participates the same good will and general spirit prevailed to make them a varsity in every thing but name. We have all appreciated their work and admired their plucx dur ing the season. When the call is sounded next fall for candidates let every man that is capable, come out. That the knocks obtained are hard is true but the training received is in some measure a reward. The college needs their help to produce a winning team. The Philadelphia Club will give a smoker to friends of the college and prospective students at the Hotel Windsor, Jan. 4. All State students and graduates will be welcome.
