The New Bonfire. At a recent meeting of the stu dent body, it was decided that here after all material for bonfires shall be taken from a pile of old lumber stored in the woods adjoining the campus. So much destruction had been wrought to private property throughout the town in celebration of the Cornell football victory, that it was necessary to taite some action to prevent a further destruction of good property. The last bonfil e was a costly one and as a matter of fact, the next bonfire would be even more so, as there is only a small amount of property available. The student board presented the matter for discussion, and as a re sult the college will furnish wagons in the future for the hauling of the old lumber which will be piled in a place where it will be readily availa ble. Toothpick-Tumbler Game The managers of these teams claim that applicants for these po sitions are fairly tumbling over one another, whether toothpick or tum bler, in their eagerness to sign up for the approaching contest. All who have not already handed in their applications should do so at once, as the great game is to be played on Saturday of this week. The famous Toothpick Band, led by the renowned Sousa. Jr., will be on hand to enliven the occasion. At present the teams seem to be evenly matched, for while the Toothpicks are faster on their feet, if "Bottles" or any of the other Mellens Food Babies once fall on any of the skinny ones, it is quite probable that substi tutes and a doctor will be required.
