On Friday evening of last week Dr. Pond spoke to the Berzelius Chemical Society on the subject of "Blood Determination." The var ous means of distinguishing human blood from that of animals were illustrated, and several tests were described by which blood stains may be proved to be such even though the stains were made months or years previously•. The matter of giving expert testimony, especially in criminal cases, was taken up at length. By means of the microscope and slides Dr. Pond illustrated - all of the points.
