ALUMNI NOTES. A. A. Barr, 'O6, and Martin L. Roper, 'O6, have resigned their po sitions as engineering apprentices with the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing company, to accept positions with the Allegheny Light, Heat and Power company, at Alle gheny. They are at present dividing their time between the engineering offices and the laboratories or the above company. R. G. Heyl, 'O6. who has been with the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing company, in the ap prenticeship department during the past year, has been transferred to Baltimore where he is doing con struction work for the same com pany. S. P Hertzler, 'O5, was married on July 3 to Miss Pearl Pickard, at Syracuse, N. Y. Mr. Hertzler is with the Pittsburg Valve, Foundry and Construction Company, with headquarters at 5165 Penn avenue, ;Pittsburg. J. S. Romig, 'O7, is with the Mest Jersey and Seashore branch of the Pennsylvania railroad. On this line, which extends from Camden .to Atlantic City, electricity was in stalled as motive power about a year Ago. Hon. Cyrus Gordon, '66, ex-judge ..of Clearfield county, with his wife, „paid a visit last week to tneir two sons who are members of the sub freshman class. J. E. Root, 'O7, lately employed •by the Pennsylvania railroad at Logansport, Indiana, is now with the -Bouthern Pacific railway at Tucson, :Arizona. P. P. Reece, 'O7, writes from Hartshorn, Indian Territory, where The holds a responsible position with :the Rock Island Coal company. E. W.
