The-Brixton-Burglary. The work: done by the Thespians in “The Brixton Burglary” March 21st more than justified the expecta tions of those who looked for a good performance. Taken as. a- whole, there was very little to criticise. In a few places a lack of smoothness and of perfect knowledge of the parts was evident, but-these' faults are almost inevitable in the first pro duction of such a p.ay, aid will doubtless disappear before com mencement. Competent, judges, de clare this to be the best performance given by the organization in recent years. As the dude, Thompson did fine work. Romig, Meckel, Ruder and Newton deserve especial praise for the manner in which they played the parts of women. Their costumes showed a marked improvement over those of last year, which add ed greatly: to the general effect of the play. Partridge did good: work in. a difficult part. Practically all of those who saw the performance will be glad to. see it repeated in June,, while those who missed it this time should by all means see it then. A new rifle, range with all acces sories has been, installed in the s gymnasium at Ohio State Univers- 1 ity. It is. seventy-five yards long, I backed with timber and steel. Tai-’ get practice of three hours per week will be required of students; in tactics. A good stunt for State to follow.
