Intercollegiate Debate The preliminary inter collegiate debates for the championship of the league of which State is a mem ber will take place on December 14th—one at Lancaster, between Franklin and Marshall and State, and the other at Carlisle, be tween Dickinson and Swarthmore. The question chosen for the Dickin son-Swarthmore debate is: Re solved, That United States senators should be elected by direct vote of the people. A great effort is being made by our own team to win this contest, and considerable time and thought are now being devoted to the ques tion in order that last year's victory may be repeated. One great ad vantage possessed by State is that the team, with one exception, is the same that defeated Swarthmore in the finals last year. The winners of the preliminaries will meet to decide the championship some time during the second semester. Bellefonte Association The alumni of Bellefonte have recently formed an organization knOwn as the Bellefonte Alumni Association.
