Touchdown —Waller. Referee—Morrisey. Umpire Bob Wray. Time-keepers—Haldeman and Phillips, with alarm clocks. Linesmen —Beck and Lightcap. Time of halves —x. Amidst a season of surprising scores State added another victory to her list at Annapolis, Saturday, October 31st. The Middies were so sure of this game that they were offering two to one, but they have learned that relative scores show nothing. Two thousand people saw State do it. The Navy made but two first downs, one in each half. In the first four minutes of play neither side could gain more than four yards. By the end of the fifth minute Capt. Whitworth had made a run of fifty yeards around the Navy’s right end for a touchdown, and Forkum had kicked the goal. Near the end of the first half Whitworth dropped a goal from the 25 yard line. In the second half Forkum was shoved across the line after a series of line plunges, in which State’s line showed up well. He also kicked the goal. State was making for another touchdown when she was penalized twenty yards at the 25 yard line. With twenty seven yards to gain on the last down, Whitworth tried a drop from the 45 yard line. It was so close to a goal that A 1 Sharpe hesi tated, and the points were scored up on the score board before he decided in the negative. The team, and especially the' line, is rapidly getting into good shape under the guidance of Coach Reed. The receipt of the score at the college was a signal for a parade, a bonfire and a stag in the armory. The old, bleachers were con signed to the flames while the students rejoiced.
