On May 17th State played the West Chester Normal team at West Chester. A large crowd witnessed the game, which was a fine sample of snappy ball playing; particularly upon the part of the State boys. The State boys as well as the Normal boys had followers to cheer them on, for Cap tain Sharp hails from West Chester, and old friends were anxious to see his team win. Sharp pitched a good game, and, in addition, handled the stick well, having a home run, a triple, and a single to his credit. Rohrbach made three singles and a double.
