Tart foot ball season just ended has been one of infinite disap pointment and discouragement to the team, as well as the whole college in general. Our victories in the past have been so sur prising and oftentimes so unexpected that it seems indeed hard to face defeat such as we have experienced this year. The pill is bitter, but we must swallow it, as others have done before, and as some will have to do at our hands next year. If we had what is known as " swelled head," we have it no longer. We realize that work alone is necessary for success; we must get good men in the first place; secondly, furnish a good scrub team, and thirdly, give the team, manager and coach our heartiest support, financially and otherwise.
