president Lee, of Pennsylvania; and Mr. Froh man, Haverford, secretary pro tern. Two new members were admitted to the Association, the Western University of Pennsylvania and Gettys burg College. Haverford resigned from member-. ship on account of .inability to train track teams. Swarthmore brought up the amendment which read as follows : a student shall be allowed to compete five times in the association's annual meet and no more, but no student shall compete on one college team, who has ever competed on a similar team at any other college, and no student of a professional department or special course shall compete until he shall have been a student in that college one calendar year. This amendment was passed and the University of Pennsylvania withdrew from the association as it • would not allow them to use men from their professional department. After the University re signed, Dowler of State College acted as chairman pro tern. A committee of three was appointed to draft a new constitution.
