" GnEAT Excrrearxxr."—Repeated representations nf the Panorama of the Russian War seems only to increase the crowds that nightly fill the City Hall ; indeed, we know of many who have repeated their we know of many who have repeated their visits several times, and mean to go again ; nor it to be weattored at, the exhibition being unquestionably the best of the kind we have ever had in Pittsburgh. There is scarcely a scene that would not amply re pay the price of admission. The marine views are really excellent; the huge ships seem to float by in rballty. "The 'Baltic fleet preparing to anchor," is very healthful, nothing but nature itself can equal it. "The silver moon unclouded holds her way 'through skies where I could count each little star ; the rip pling silvery reflection on the water is very truth ful, the whole producing a harmony of effect truly admirable. The bombardments and different battles are given with great spirit, all the usual tameness of A Panorama is done away with the powerful Dio n:alio effects of thunder, lightning, healing of the storm and din of artillery giving an appearance of reality which painting alone could notproduce. Thera is to be a performance to-morrow afternoon at three o'clock, for the accommodation of ladies and cbildrren. We extract a notice from the R. publican of Tuesday last : "Holliday Street Theatre last evening presented a magnificent spectacle. for in it was gathered ono of the fairest audiences it has ever been our lot to look upon. It was the first night of the Pyne and Har rison Troupe, and the Theatre was filled with one of the largest, most respectable and appreciative au diences that has assembled in Baltimore for a long time. The piece was Auber's great opera of The ' , Crown Diamotols, which was rendered with magnifi cent effect, all the artistes being perfect in their ro/... while the orchestra and choristers added much to the completeness of the whole." The fire originated in tli&upper story; A child was sent up stairs for an •arfiele of clothing, with a lighted candle. While looking around for it, she carelessly let the candle fall upon the bed, which was quickly in a flame. The child, in consternation, fled, but before the alarm could be given, the whole interior of the room was on fire. in a few minutes, the flames extended to other parts of the building, and the whole structure, in about two hours, Was completely destroyed. Several of the fire companies from the city, went out with their machines, but they arrived on the ground in time to be too late to be of much use. A portion of the furniture in the gouge was remov ed, but that destroyed was the mostvaluable. Mr. Undersogt's loss will be about $l,BOO, partial ly covered by an insurance of $BOO. PARDONED.—Henry Bustle, a young man convicted at the spring term of Quarter Sessions of an assault and battery with intent to kill, yesterday received a pardon from Gov. Pollock. He had served out all but four months of his term of imprisonment. Mr. Busha always sustained a very exemplary chatucter, and the offence for which he was imprisoned is ni ledged to have been accidentally committed. During his incarceration in jail he secured the favorbie opinion of the offirers of thnt institution by his be coming conduct. DETAINED.—The train on the Ohio and Pennsylva nia Railroad, due here at S o'clock on Wednesday night, was detained sevend hotiri by an ntnisua press of business. The train came - in with nine pas senger cars, all full. S r rnENE COL - RT.—Court 1310t-- I, prOSOnt, Judges Lowrie, Woodward, Black, and Knox. TIIIIRSDAX, November 28. WEEKLY MONEY ARTICLE PITTSBURGH, November 30th There is very little change in money matters here since our last. The banks aro still discounting up to their full capacity, particularly of western bills. There is no stringency. There is money enough here for the business, but currency is very scarce. It is sent west to buy produce, and there has proba bly seldom been less currency afloat in this city. The late run of coal was very successful so far as yet heard from. Nu losses of much account occurred, and the amount sent out was large—near three and a half million bushels. Flour and other products continue to arrive in large quantities from the west, and are sent eastward. The Central road is doing a thriving business. The closing of the New York canal, and high rates 'of freight on the New York roads, must tarn more of the freights this way, Business continues unusually active, and the man ufacturers particularly axe supplied with orders as fast as they can fill them. The late rise in the Alle gheny has revived the lumber trade, and brought down large amounts to our wharves. Although we are well assured of the abundance o all crops, no very groat reduction of the prices o , provisions can be expected for some time. The limi the foreign demand must be seen before a perma ncnt downward tendency of prices can be anticipa ted. The shipments of grain and cotton to Europe are now very heavy: and one consequence was that the last steamer took out no specie. At the same time the California steamer brought about two millions in gold to New York. But unfortunately the imports to New York for last week were excessively large, nearly double what they were in the same week last year. The total value of imports thin year 12 1.11,421„;11 against 5161,434,243 for the same time last year. Difference in favor of this year '530,000,000. But the English manufacturers seem resolved to make up the deficiency as fast as possible whether their goods are called for or not. The Philadelphia Ledger of the 28th says Notwithstanding a favorable show in the state ments of the New York city banks for the last week, the publication of the figures on Monday was attend ed with a very (Wedded decline in the price of the loading fancy. Brio Railroad shares opened at and closed at 51J.t. Illinois Central suffered nearly as much, and Reading Railroad shares 1 per cent. The movement in money at New York has quickened decidedly. The Bank report, as compared with the previous statement of Nov. shows the following changes Increase of loans. - - $282,488 Alain in specie, - - - 412,322 Decrease in circulation, - 102,09 Apparent decrease in deposits, 848,207 The statement is a favorable ono on the specie line, while the loans are hat inconsiderably afflicted. As remarked yesterday, the gold movement of the week was unusually light; not a dollar exported, and no California receipts. The increased stringency in the money market at New York is sought lobe accounted for by a largely if:wreaked amount of Eastern paper thrown into the discount nfhees. Lenders were en :Oiled to realize 12 i.ier rent. on first-elans names. and Is on fair signatures. on moat of the offerings. A few favorite New York name, were thine at 10 per rent. The Southern and M eaten bank lialauces were heavily drawn upon. which occasioned a little more movement in demand Inflate." The New York E.-n.O let of the 2611 says • "The demand for money is mgt acute generally. Rates hare a declining tendency.
