014oiDailn Amin Post. PI*TSBURH;P,A.. MONDAY MORNING, MAY 27, 1891 • Wo aro indebted to Hon. JOHN TICBETTS of Kentucky, fora copy of his speech on the Tariff Bill. THE AQIIEDUCT.••-•Tilitl structure is again giving way. On Friday and Saturday it sunk some fen, and cracked and tottered when passengers wouldcross.— On Saturday the water was let out, and arrangements made to repair it. DROWNED -A colored boy; on of the Rev A. D. LEWIS, while fishing above the dam on Saturday last, was taken with a fit, and fell into the River, and was drowned. His body was recovered in a few minutes, and attempts were making to restore life,. MILLILA MUSTER.—On Saturday. we had the grand est and richest Muster we have witnessed for many a Year. The indomitable and invincible 87th Regiment turned Out in all the "pride, pomp and citcumstance" so peMdiarto the system, and until 2 o'clock, made a darned fuss and prodigious noise. Some were attired as Indians, others as Negroes; one was dressed as a lady, and wore an enormous bustle, and tipped along as gracefully as she knew how. The head. and bodies of-must of them were decorated with devices of some kind or other, and some delightful music from a num ber of tin horns, inspired them with martial If the object VOl4 to bring the s ystem into ridicule, it was pretty well got up—but we doubt if it can, by any burlesque, be consigned to a lower do oh than it now occupies. ' Ftat.—The Eagle Engine House was burnt on Sat. urday ni4ht, or rather Sunday morning. We under stand.,thens is no doubt but it was the work of an in cendiary, as the bet/ rope was cut off short so that no alarm could be given. Aattivst. or Gsrt. Tom THUMB.—This distinguish ed character arrived in this city from New Orleans, bound to New York, and has taken rooms at the A merican Hotel, and will receive visitors at the same for twcrilays only, his engagement being such in New York his stay -cannot be protracted.
