WOMEN OAN HARDLY BELIEVE Mow Mrs. Hurley Was Re stored to Health by Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. Eldon, Mo. "I was troubled with displacement, inflammation and female weakness. For two years I could not stand on my feet long at a time and I could not walk two blocks without en during cutting and drawing pains down my right side which increased every month. I have been at that time purple in the face and would walk the floor. I could not lie down or sit still sometimes for a day and a night at a time. I was nervous, and had very little appetite, no ambition, melancholy, and often felt as though I had not a friend In the world. After I had tried most every female remedy without suc cess, my mother-in-law advised me to take Lj'dia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. I did so and gained in strength every day. I have now no trou ble in any way and highly praise your medicine. It advertises itself."—Mrs. S. T. HURLEY, Eldon, Missouri. Remember, the remedy which did this was Lydia E. Clears Skin—Stops All Blood Troubles Does Right Down to Where the Germs Start From. The action of S. S. S., the famous blood >urifier, is notable in the skin. It is but aatural that blood impurities should leek an outlet. Water, gas, oil and nearly all the active products of nature leek the surface. It seems to be a cos aiic law. Even our thoughts will un lertake to find expression. And so what »ver we take into our system will even '.ually come out changed in form, con rerted often into some other substance, &ut constituting always either waste ir that which has served its useful pur >nse and must be eliminated. And the ikin is the principal avenue for escape >f certain acids or poisons. If the skin in 4 blood be healthy, these wastes pass iff as vapor or perspiration. But im lure blood loads the skin with eczema, jimples, acne, rheumatism, rash, fever tlisters, blood risings and other erup :ions. And S. S. S. has been found the rcry best, safest and most effective remedy to purify the blood and thus re itore the skin to clear and attractive jealth. Get a bottle today of any drug jist, but be emphatic. Do not allow any >ne to hand you a substitute. Wrapped iround the bottle is an interesting cir :ular that telis you how to obtain skill ful advice free on any subject concern ng the blood. S. S. Profiting by an experience of firemen In fighting the $3,000,000 fire at the Edison works on December 9, 1914, Thomas A. Edison has perfected an other Invention, which he took to his home in Llewellyn Park Saturday night to test. A few minues after Charles Edison began operating the device, for the edification of his father People lying in the valley east of Llewellyn Pa rk telephoned police headquarters and asked. "What is that light shooting out of the park?" A policeman found Mr. Edison and his family enjoying the wonders pro duced by a new 8.000,000 candle power searchlight, capable of throw ing a ray several miles, the most powerful searchlight yet ented. It is very small and the power is sup plied by storage batteries. In the fire at the Edison plant the yards were thrown in darkness when the power was shut off. Mr. Edison conceived the idea of a portable searchlight, and two days alter the blaze he designed a working model. To-day he announced the perfection of his idea. It was said at the Edison labora tory to-day that the lamp will be use ful in mine rescue work, at fires and on ships, aeroplanes and locomotives. It can produce light in any volume de sired.
