The proprietors and mnisuf' acturers of HOS— TETTER'S , CELEBRATED STOMACH BIT TERS can appeal with perfect confidence to • physicians and citizens generally of-the United states, because the article has attained a iepu tation heretofore ifnknown. A few facts upon this point will speak' more powerfully than volumes of bare assertion or blazoning puffery. The consumption of Hostetter's Stomach:Bit ters for the last year amounted to over a half million bottles, end from its manifest steady increase in times past, it is evident that during the coming year the consumption will reach near one million battles. This immense amount could never have been sold but for the rare medicinal properties contained in the prepara tion, and the sanction of the snost prominent physicians in those sections of the country where the article is best known, who not only recommend the Bitters to their patients, hut. arc ready nt all times to give temimonials to its efficacy in all cases of St munch ic derangena ills and the diseases resulting therefrom. This is not a temporary populasity, — Olit shied by extraordinary efforts in the way of trunk 'poling the quillities of the Litters, but a sf.lbl estimation of an invaluable Medicine, wldclt is destined to bo as enduring as time itself. Host etter's Stomach Hitters have proved a Godsend to regions r:here fever and frue and various other bilious complaints have counted their victims by hundreds: To be able to state confidently that the Bitters aro a certain cure for the Dyspepsia and like diseases, is to the proprietors it source of un alloyed pleasure. It removes all morbid natter front the stomach, purifies the blood, and imparts renewed vitality to the nervous system, giving 11 that tone and energy indispensable for the restoration of health. It operates upon the stomach, liver, mid other digestive organs, mildly but powerfully, and soon restores them to a condition essential to the healthy discharge of the functions of stature. Elderly persons may use (he Bitters dtiily as per direotions on the bottle, ttnd they will Mid in it a stimulant peculiarly adapted to comfort declining years, its it is pleasant to the palate, invigorating to the bowels, excellent. asst tonic, and rejuvenating generally. We have the evi dence of thousands of aged men and women who have experienced the benefit of.using this preparation while suffering.from steitmch de• rangements and general debility; acting under the advice of physichu, they have abandoned all deleterious drugs and fairly tested the merits of this, article. A few words to the gentler sex. There are certain periods when their cares are so, harassing that many of them sink under the trial. 'rho relation of mother and child is so absorbingly tender, that the mother, especially if she be young, is apt to forget her own health in her extreme anxiety for her infant. Should the period of maternity arrive during the summer season, the wear of body and mind is generally aggravated. Here, then, is a necessity for a stimulant to recupe rate the energies of the system, and enable the mother to hear up wider her exhausting trials and responsibilities. Nursing mothers gene rally prefer the Bitters to all other invigora tors that receive the endorsement of physi cians, because it is agreeable to the taste as well as certain to give a permanent increase of bodily strength. All those persons, to whom we have particu- lady referred aboVe, to wit: sufferers from fever and ague ; caused by malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, indigestion, loss of appetite, and all diseases or derangements of the stomach, superannuated invalids, persons of sedentary occupation, and nursing mothers, will consult their own physical welfare by giving to Hos tel ter's Celebrated Stomach Bitters a trial. CAUTION.—We caution the public against using any of the many imitations or counter feits, but ask for HOSTETTEIt'S CELEnadvran BromAcn BITTEitH, and see that each bottle has; the words "Dr. J. Allentown, November 10, 18'.0 Ayer's Sarsaparilla A _compound remedy, in ;which we 'have la bored to produce the most effectual alterative that can bu made. It is a concentrated extract of Para Sarsaparilla, 'so combined with other substances of still greater alterative power as to afford an effective antidote for the' diseases Sarsaparilla is reputed to cure. It is believed that such a remedy is wanted by those who suffer from Strumous complaints, and that one which will accomplish their curs must prove of immense service to this large class of our afflicted fellow-citizens. How completely this compound will do it has been proven by exper iment on many of the worst cases to be found of the following complaints:-- SCROFULA. AND SCROFULOUS COMPLAINTS, ERUPTIONS AND ERUPTIVE DISEASES,ATI,CELCS, PIMPLES, BLOTCHES, TUMORS SALT RHEUM, SCALD DEAD, SYPHILIS AND i3TPIIILITIC AP FECTOSS, MERCURIAL DISEASE, DROPSY, NEU RALGIA (IR Tic DOULOUREUN, DP,BILITY, DYS PEPSIA AND INDIGESTION, ERYSIPELAS, ROSE OR ST. ANTHONY'S FIRE, and indeed the whole class of complaints arising from IMPURITY 01 THE BLOOD. This compound will be found n great pro moter of health, when taken in the spring, to expel the foul hemors which fester in the blood at that season of the year. Ily the tink ly expulsion of them many rankling disorders are nipped in the bud. Mu titudes can, by the aid of this remedy, spare themselves front the endurance of foul eruptions and ulcerous sores, through which the system will strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not assisted to du this through the natural channels of the body by au alterative medicine. Cleanse out the vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores ; cleanse it when you Lind it is ob structed and sluggish in the veins; e1ta,,..• it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even where no particular disorder is felt, people enjoy better health, and live longer, lhr cleansing the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is well ; but with this pabulum of life disordered, there can be no lasting health. Sooner or later something must go wrong, nil the great machinery of life is disordered or overthrown. Sarsaparilla has, and deserves much, the reputation, of necomplishing these ends. But the world has been egregiously deceived by preparations of it, partly because the drug alone has not all the virtue that is defined for it, but more because many preparations, pretending to be conuentrtited extrntts of it, contain but little of the virtue of Sarsaparilla, or any thing else. During late years the public have been mis led by large bottles, pretending to give a quart of Extract of ; Sarsaparilla for one dollar. ;Most of these have been frauds upon the sick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsapa rilla, but often no curative properties whatev er. Hence, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the use of the various extracts of Sarsaparilla which flood the market, until the name itself is justly despised, and has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still we call this compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy ns shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy which rests upon it. And we think we have ground for believing it has virtues which are Irresistible by the ordinary run of the diseases it is intend ed to cure.
