We yesterday examined specimens of ' Flax Wool, or the fiber of Flax (as likewise of Hemp) reduced by Clartssen% process to a condition closely t.setnbling that of ordi nary Fleece Wool. That from hemp is har der and coarser than the other ; but either is fine enough ter ordinary fabrics, and at least as strong-as good Merino Wool. The Flax is nearly as white as sheep's'wool, and may doubtless he made quite so. The cost of the Flax Wool is about fifteen cents per pound ; though in the fertile West, where td chea it may doubtless land is strong auL leap, . be produced tower.
