Be it ordained by the Burgess and Town Council of Mansfield, and it is hereby ordained by authority of the same, that from and afler the doe publication of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for the owner or owners of any horse, mare, or geld ing, cattle, sheep, hqgs or geese, to'permit or suffer tho same to ran at large in said borough. § 2. That, the owner or owners of any horses, cattle or hogs, who shall permit, ot suffer the same to run at large in said borough, shall forfeit and pay the sumlof Ijfly cents, at the suit of any person, for the use of said borough of Mansfield, for each and every headland for each and every offence; and the owner or owner* of any sheep or geese, who shall permit the same to run at large in said borough, shall forfeit and pay the sum of ten cents for each and every ’ uad of said sheep or geese, and for each and every offence, to be recovered as aforesaid. Pro pitied, that milch cows may be permitted to run at large in said borough from sunrise in the morning till nine o’clock at night, from the first of April to the first of December of cach,and every year.
