He bad only been sick since Tuesday of that week. His age was 08 years and be is survived by a widow and live children. Mr. Burford has many friends throughout this section. He was a veteran of the Civil War and served three years and six months In the Eighty-third Pennsylvania volunteers. During this service Mr. Burford was for seven months con lined In the Kebel pris on pen at Andeisonvilie. The funeral services were held at the home in North Clarendon at 3 o'clock on Sunday after noon, the pastor of Ihe Evangelical church of that place ofliciatihg.
