We call special attention to our stoc' foot wear for elder ladies. Don't always be worrying about what people say of you. No matter what you iny or what you do the action will be different to different eyes. Ooe will pronounce it good, the other evil. You cannot please more than a certain few, while the great majority don't know what you are doing. The only course it to do what you tbink the brst, and let results be what they may. Ex. Pleasantville Record. Here is another very clear swindle which is being practiced by sharpers over the country. A man puts In an appear ance, seeks the proprietor of the store, and informs him that he is searching tor rare coins, passing him a list of specimens and their alleged value. He also asks the interested proprietor to keep an eye out, and should he get hold of any to keep them for bim. Soon after another party strolls around, buys a cigar or some other article, and exhibits a couple of coins witli the remark that they are pocket pieces. On consulting his list the pro prietor finds their value is marked $45 each. Hero he will see an opportunity for speculation, sud after some dickering the second party sells him the pieces. Of course number one never shows up, and the coins are worth no more than their faco value. This is now bolng worked all over the State. Ex. School Report. Report of Tionesta school for 0th month.
