Gazette. Mr. Benjamin S. Vincent went over into Sugarcreek township, a few days ago to assist in driving an unru ly steer which had battled all previous attempts to get him to the slaughter house. When Mr. Vincent began to drive him the steer rushed at him, caught him on his horns and threw hiiu a distance of several feet. The infurated animal then made a rush foi the prostrate man. Fortunately Mr. Nims ono of the owners of the steer was holding a largo bull-dog la re serve. As the steer was rushing at Mr. Vincent, and was within a few feet of him the faithful dog was let loose.
