Rey nolds, stable, $200; Pardee & Fowlers, stable, $250; Wm. Moore, Esq., two stables, $300; Al vah Leslie, stable, $200; John G. Maitland, warehouse. $600; P.. M. Allen, tobacco and ma chinery, $350; W. G. Warnock, gas fittings. Ste s7so;carpenter tools, &a, $100; Girard P. Hickman, ten-pin alley, $600; Wilson & Wallace, shop damaged, $BO. John G.- Maillond's brick building, and a shanty owned by Ram), Wilkins & Co., were slightly damaged. 1 The total loss will be somewhere in .the neigh borhood of $4,000, and 'consisted of eight build logs. The fire Is supposed to have been the work df an incendiary. Tho chanties are, however, that it has been fired by fellows gambling in-some of the old buildings, as parties have-been often known to engage in that business in several of them, heretofore, and a light was seen in one of the buildings several times during the night. It was fortunately a still morning, or we should have bad the unpleasant duty of sending you -word of the burning of one-half of the town, instead of these eight buildings. It is also very astonishing that it spread no farther.—Dirpateh. A Pllol .
